City-run sand dune riding park on the Arkansas River at Syracuse in far western Kansas, opened in 2007. It covers about 1,300 acres of dunes, bowls and sand trails, with RV hookups, dry camping, showers and a stocked 40-acre fishing pond. Poker runs and holiday events are held through the year.
