Ride South Carolina

This trail system offers three main loops that consist of sand and dirt with numerous whoops and some steep inclines that wind through a mixed hardwood and pine tree forest. Camping is not permitted and the rangers occasionally check for permits or proof of paid day use fees. The trails are available daily from dawn to dusk between the dates of December 31 and September 14 and on Sundays only during hunting season, which runs from September 15 through December 30.

This part of the Sumter National Forest has about 12 miles of moderately challenging ATV trail loops that wind through some hilly terrain and a mixed hardwood and pine tree forest. The main staging area provides access to the northern loop but a connector trail is used to access the southern loop. Both loops are marked for one way traffic except for the connector trail which allows for two way traffic. The trails mainly consists of smooth packed clay and dirt but there is a section that has some large rocks.

This part of the Sumter National Forest offers about 23 miles of multiple use trails that form long, interconnecting loops and a separate, one-way only beginners loop. The trails are marked and mainly consist of double track dirt and sandy washes with some particularly narrow sections. The staging area has plenty of space for large trailers and has loading ramps and a vault toilet. Both the trails and staging area are only open for day use but nearby Brickhouse Campground is just a few minutes away.

This recreation area offers a 12-mile, moderately challenging trail is marked with directional arrows. The trail forms a long one way loop but there is a cut through that divides the route in half, creating two smaller loops. The terrain primarily consists of piedmont clay and is rarely completely dry, so expect some deep mud holes even during dry weather. The main staging area has plenty of space for parking, a vault toilet and picnic tables. Both trails and staging area are only open during daylight hours but camping is just a couple minutes away at Parson's Mountain Lake.

About 40 miles of sandy ATV trail loops that wind through a scenic mixed pine and hardwood woodland can be found at this national forest. There are two main loops and the trails are open to dirt bikes and ATV vehicles under 50 inches in width. (Jeeps and other 4x4s are prohibited) Round Pond Cycle Trailhead camping area is located off Halfway Creek Road and offers direct access to the trail system. The trail is open year-round but will close temporarily on short notice due to inclement weather, so check the hotline before heading out.

Off-road park near Hemingway, SC with about 34 miles of trail on roughly 200 acres. Open to dirt bikes, ATVs, side-by-sides. Terrain: loose dirt, sand, single track, large jumps. Camping on site.

This offroad park features 350 acres of twisty 4x4 trails, rugged hill climbs and numerous mud pits that range from shallow ponds to deep and swampy water crossings. The ATV trails provide a good mix of terrain for all skill levels and consists of sand, clay, loose and hard packed dirt. Occasional live music events with various food trucks and vendors are hosted during select weekends. ATV rentals are now available and reservations can be made online . Camping is permitted during select weekends, but call first to verify before heading out.

Big private off-road park near Winnsboro with 120 miles of trails, monthly night rides, Polaris SxS rentals and guided tours, plus RV hookups, yurts, cabins and the Arrowhead Tavern.

This offroad park consists of 80 acres of marked and rated 4x4 trails, rock gardens and obstacles. About half of the trail network consists of easy to intermediate terrain and most routes are one-way only for improved safety. The park is geared for Jeeps but all vehicles types except three wheelers are permitted. There are 13 campsites with fire rings including a few spots next to the Reedy River. A primitive cabin with electricity is also available for rent. Reservations are required for camping and cabin rentals.

This new ATV park offers miles of trails and mud pits on over 1,100+ acres. Dirt bikes, ATVs, side by sides and golf carts are welcomed. The property offers plenty of space for camping and both primitive sites and RV hookup sites are available. Two fully furnished cabins and four unfurnished cabins are available for rent. Amenities include a large bathhouse with shower stalls. Call before you haul.
